YouTube's View email address limit, explained.

YouTube hides a channel's business email behind a button that needs a signed-in account and a captcha. Here is what that means if you contact creators for a living.

The short answer

A creator can add a business email in YouTube Studio. YouTube does not print it on the page. Viewers see a View email address button on the channel's About panel, which asks you to sign in and pass a reCAPTCHA before it shows the address. The address is not in the page's HTML, and YouTube's Data API does not return it.

Is there a daily limit?

YouTube does not publish one. Reports from people doing outreach put it at roughly 5 to 10 reveals a day per account before the button stops working or the captcha gets harder. Treat any number you read as anecdotal.

Why the tools around it keep breaking

  • Extensions that click the button for you run inside your own signed-in session, so the automated activity is tied to your Google account.
  • YouTube's Terms of Service prohibit automated access and harvesting, and some reveal extensions have been removed from the Chrome Web Store for policy violations.
  • Chrome removed all Manifest V2 extensions, which retired a generation of older scrapers.

Where creators publish emails instead

Creators who want sponsorships usually put a business email somewhere public as well: the channel description, the bottom of their video descriptions, a link-in-bio page, or the contact page of their own site. Those are public, written by the creator, and meant to be found.

What Endcard does

Endcard checks those public places, returns the address with the exact page it came from, and never touches the View email address button. If nothing is published, you see every source we checked and pay nothing. How sourcing works.

If you still need the gated email

Click the button yourself, one channel at a time, and respect the limit. If the creator lists a manager or a booking form instead, use that: it is usually where deals get answered fastest.
